Turning a Hong Kong e-office into a registered office

While we believe the aforementioned e-office, eSS and supporting services will help our customers achieve their business goals, we also would like to encourage our customers to consider turning the e-office into a registered office.

8. Foreigners (Non-Hong Kong residents) are treated equally and fairly. They can hold both executive and non-executive positions or directorships in publicly traded or privately held companies.

The fees for incorporating a local limited company having a share capital include the application fee of approximately US$220 and the capital fee of approximately US$0.13 for every or part of approximately US$125 of the nominal share capital (this capital fee is subject to a maximum of approximately US$3,850 per case).

10. Simple tax system - Hong Kong is considered a tax haven as it has a single and simple tax system - no capital, dividend, value-added tax, withholding and no tax on an individual's estate. Only profits derived in Hong Kong are taxable. It is noteworthy that even if a company conducts business in Hong Kong, but as long as the contract is not signed in Hong Kong , the profit that arises from such transaction is not taxable. On the other hand, taxable income is levied at a very low level.. The current corporate tax rate is at a very competitive rate of 17.5% and personal tax rate is 15% . Starting March 2008, both the corporate and personal tax rate will be reduced to 15%, making it probably the city with the lowest tax bracket among other major developed domiciles.
